    • Understanding notes, scales, and intervals
    • Major and minor scales and their emotional impact
    • Building and identifying chords (triads and extensions)
  2. Melody and Harmony
    • Crafting melodies: stepwise motion and leaps
    • Chord progressions: common patterns in electronic music
    • Using harmony to add depth and emotion
  3. Rhythm and Groove
    • Time signatures and note values
    • Syncopation and rhythmic variation
    • Creating grooves that work with drums and bass
  4. Applying Music Theory in Production
    • Using MIDI tools for composition in DAWs
    • Leveraging scale and chord plugins
    • Layering melodies, harmonies, and rhythms for full arrangements
  5. Final Project
    • Students compose a short track (16-32 bars) demonstrating music theory concepts
